Bureau of Emergency Medical Services & Trauma System

The Bureau has been experiencing some minor software issues since launching an enhanced version of the EMCT database on April 15, 2015: If you are getting and error message indicating that you failed to enter an “NCO” number and the expiration dates associated with that number even though you are applying “other than” NCO on the education screen, we are aware of the issue and working as quickly as possible to correct it. Apple Safari and Firefox browser users may experience a browser conflict, we believe this issue has been resolved.

The Bureau is responsible for coordinating, establishing and administering a statewide system of emergency medical services, trauma care and a trauma registry.

This is accomplished through a variety of collaborative processes including education, quality improvement and protocol development.

It is the Mission of the Bureau to protect the health and safety of people requiring emergency medical services; promote improvements in Arizona's EMS and trauma system through research and education of the public and EMS providers; and provide courteous, professional and responsible service to the public and EMS providers.
